All Hallowed Eve - Tomorrow is a big Deal
Needless to say, my home and activity today has nothing to do with mesmerizing children with images of the occult, monsters, terror and fear. Men need to grow up. Lead your family away from distractions that present obsticals to seeking the love of the Holy Spirit. Guys? Do your job and stop the nonsense. Stop wasting your time on stupid stuff.

Pray for your dead father, your dead mother, your dead brothers and sisters. Christ himself, a Jew practicing the jewish traditions, prayed for the dead as said in 2 Maccabees 12:42-46. This book was included in the 1611 AD version of King James version. KJV is an abrieviated version of the vulgate, and is the source of confusion on the practice of praying for the dead. The authors of the KJV bible were schismatic anti-catholics determined to erase catholic practices. Maccabees 1 & 2 were eventually removed by some guy, for some reason.

I attended a healing mass at Saint Stephen's Church in North end Halifax last night. It was from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM since it was a mass and healing service. It was presided over by Father Mark Cherry and he actually presided over a private healing service (for me) hosted by Sara Ashe a Holistic Nutritionalist a couple years ago.
I was suprized by the "service" but it left me sufficiently curious that I dug deeper into Catholic healing resulting my attending last night.
A friend came with me. I rather enjoyed the whole thing especially the intimacy of the interactions with Father Cherry and the other people assisting in the healing. The guitarist and vocalist, Heather, has an amazing sound. You should go to a healing at least one time, just to see it. It is an awesome event to behold.

Unexpected Gift from a Friend
My dear friend Oliver, sent this to me in an email this morning. I wasn't prepared to see it. Then I saw it, and lost control. For those who know me, they will see a woman, out of her desert, on the edge of an ocean, facing a monstrance of divine grace, a shower of love, dark into daylight.
Oliver profoundly altered the trajectory of my day as I sit sipping my coffee. Thank-you Oliver. Such an invitation is only the work of the Holy Spirit. I am surrounded by God-filled people, willing the good.

Monday Grief - A unique departure for me

This essay below is a departure for me. I saw the news this morning and I see the Venezuela conflict as a predicate to how the USA government views Canada. So I, unusually, think out loud on geo-political matters of which I would categorize myself as fundamentally ignorant. That said, I see a pattern and I am concerned for the loss of human life and the cause is the Chinese Communist decades long play for world domination. Personally, I know more than I have written here below and it will all become known in due course. My apologies to my friends. I hope this essay is a unique exercise for me. Sunday Peace - A interesting chat yesterday
I had an interesting conversation with a brilliant priest yesterday at a BBQ. As it happens he was in buildings 5 and 6 the day before 9-11. On 9-11 he was in the neighborhood but not in any of the involved buildings. I could write a monograph about what he saw the following day as he witnessed the second plane crash and was involved in the recovery actions after the building collapses. To be brief, I will mention a few facts that he witnessed. He owns a chunk of the steel from building No 1. It was a blob of molten metal solidified onto a piece of structural steel. He commented he walked upon a carpet of metal balls covered in dust. He saw the structual columns, several, cut by heat at an oblique angle. He saw building 7 standing, perfectly fine, then a perfect collapse into its footprint. He said many things to me but those few things remain significant in my recollection of his comments.
He was an eye witness, on the ground, at the site after the dust cloud settled. He was in the first medical truck bringing supplies to the injured firefighters.
He believes he saw the aftermath of a controlled demolition.

The Plight of Young Men - Depressurization
I wrote part of an essay attempting to state the issues with young men. In particular, young white men, and this is not an easy issue to approach. It is, in its very nature, rife with inflamitory language and ideas. I am not, at this time, proposing a solution, rather, I am making an effort to state the obvious. I have been paying attention to young men in general, and the categories, and effect that I am seeing extend beyond the categories created by our left-wing framers. ie White-right-wing-nationalist-christian-european-straight. I do not accept these categories but they exist in the human consciousness now. They are a convenient oversimplification of a deeper issue.
This is my essay. It is an effort for me to get my head around this issue. So, for now I am writing as I acquire understanding. I propose no solution or if a solution is even indicated. Tell me what you think. As always, I invite correspondence. It helps me think.
I am a catholic man and I see the world through that lens by choice and instinct. My church and my family is the world. I close my eyes during the Nicene creed and I hear everyone saying exactly what I say.

Sway Test TEST Clinical Trial- Update-1
I have received abundant noteworthy feedback on the proposed draft Official Clinical Trial HERE that I posted on October 18th. I received LOTS of questions about the trial design, it's intent, my interests, and "do's and don'ts etc. I received many recommendations for changing the trial before it is submitted to the Research Ethics Board. I have received negative criticism which I have also incorporated into the trial design. All of the feedback has been wonderful and it is making the test better and it looks as if we will be able to attract trained people in numbers that will allow us to meet the "power threshold" for solid statistical relevence. 'Power' is the strength of the statistical argument based on raw numbers of tests, the precision of the measurements and lack of inherent variability that allows you to detect a benefit.
Since the trial will be ideally triple blind, nobody will know the results until the test sample data is merged with the experimental results. Also, all the private data related to the identity of the participants, will be removed from any publication.
Since we do not yet have an approved Clinical Trial, we are not recruiting and those of you who have offered to participate will have to notify us after we issue a Formal Notice that recruiting is underway.
Since this is a work in progress, I will keep you informed as the Trial solidifies and is approved. Keep the questions, phone messages, and email coming. I will consider all input.

Tinnitus - Development Opportunities.
I was using my leaf blower and now my ears are ringing a bit. You know? This is a problem. I know that there is no cure for Tinnitus and from what I have been able to figure out, there is array of known and unknown causes. The literature says these causes range from noise exposure, psychological, to neurological, to tissue morbidities, to serious disease-related complications, unknown causes and combinations of all the above. I have managed, through the literature, to establish very rough percentages. So I am pursuing a potential therapy for one category of tinnitus. If you are a clinical expert in Tinnitus, then please reach out since I am assembling an advisory board to guide the development program.

See How Good You Are at Sway Testing?
There is a great deal of talk about "Sway Testing" in my community lately. So, what is it, what is it for, what is the accuracy, can a person make a life and death decision based on it?
My career has put me in many clinical trials over the last 30 years. My role has been as the inventor/creator of medical devices, or the Chief Engineer responsible for multi-million dollar development projects for novel devices, Research Director of all research activites for medical device companies, and NSERC recipient, and Research Director for institutional efforts to advance surgical procedures, and as a consultant to companies seeking FDA and Health Canada controlled label approvals based on clinical trial based submissions. Many roles over the years.
The situation regarding "Sway Testing" is ripe for examination as a formal exercise. After the clinical trial has received Research Ethics Board approval, the principle investigator will actively recruit interested Applied Kinesiology (AK) practitioners. We will be excluding persons who declare that they are incapable of executing Sway Tests.
In the situation should we be unable to enroll sufficient numbers of trained AK practitioners for a trial, I may offer the experiment as game to all comers. As an idea, I might offer $10,000.00 to anyone who can separate the 100 sample bottles into the 2 groups with no errors. 50 and 50. That is $100 per correct bottle. If a person does this then that person MY AK for LIFE!!!! (If she will have me.) I will make an inquiry into being able to do it since it sounds like a carnival game and it may be regulated. I will check. I might charge a fee to conduct the game and maybe not. I might charge a small fee and pay the player $100 for each correct answer and take $100 for each wrong answer if they evaluate all 100 sample bottles. Tell me what you think. In December 2024, as a favour, I had 4 lbs of desiccated beef liver powder made for a holistic nutritionist friend. When I delivered it to her she was happy and curious. Without unsealing it, she placed the large mason jar against her body and made a comment that it seemed good. Little did I know that she performed a sway test on the liver powder. Twisting Tennis Racket Effect
( aka Dzhanibekov Effect )
This is so interesting that I suggest you just watch the video. Then below the video is speculation that was the reason for the phenomena being classified by the Russian government.
The reason the Russian government classified the awareness of the Dzhanibekov Effect because of concerns of the effect emerging on the earth on a planetary scale since the earth is not a perfect sphere and may have the same intermediate axis instability. ("not a perfect sphere" does not mean the earth is flat.) The idea is that the poles of the earth would flip one half a revolution top to bottom (in 24 hours) inverting the whole planet. I believe that the declassification came after it was determined that such a flip would not happen to the whole earth since it is spinning in stability creating maximum moment of inertia. BUT!!!
What about a Dzhanibekov Effect and Earth Crustal Displacement hybrid?
Consider that the earth is a union of 2 separate, loosely attached objects: a large thin hollow shell viscously attached to a large oblate spheroid in a rotationally stable spin.
It is possible to model an instability for a hollow spherical shell representing Earth's crust,treated as a thin, slightly asymmetric ellipsoidal shell "floating" on a liquid core where the crust undergoes independent motion governed by the intermediate axis theorem effect (Dzhanibekov Effect). This hybrid approach combines elements of rigid body dynamics (for the crust's tumbling) with approximations for decoupling from the underlying fluid (e.g., low-viscosity coupling allowing relative motion, akin to crustal displacement over a viscous asthenosphere or outer core).
In reality, The Earth's crust isn't perfectly rigid or decoupled, and the liquid outer core (with its own differential rotation) would introduce viscous drag, angular momentum transfer, and stabilizing effects that dampen pure Dzhanibekov tumbling. However, geophysical asymmetries (e.g., continental distributions, large low-velocity provinces in the mantle, or polar ice imbalances) could provide the triaxiality needed for an intermediate principal moment of inertia, potentially triggering instability under perturbations like rapid mass redistributions. Full hybrid models would require advanced fluid-structure interaction simulations (e.g., using Navier-Stokes for the core coupled to Euler's equations for the crust), but simpler rigid-body approximations demonstrate the core instability mechanism.
So yup, the earth's crust could on-whole slide due to a Dzhanibekov Effect as an aggrevating initiation event, leaving the bulk of the earth in stable rotation. Nobel Prize Nomination? This not the Dzhanibekov Effect alone. It is a hybrid of Dzhanibekov Effect and Earth Crustal Displacement theory.

Increased Cancer Risk with Anal Trauma (sex) ?
I conducted a state-of-the-literature review of the cancer risk related to anal trauma suffered during anal intercourse. The investigation initially conflated other variables that I did not anticipate. The other variables were HPV, HIV and other diseases transmitted during the sexual encounter. I was not interested the epidemiological point of view. There is a great deal of data in the disease-related literature. I excluded all disease related cancer risks. To calibrate, I investigated non-disease related cancer of the vagina, uterus, and related structures. As a baseline I further investigated the incidence of cancer amongst virginal nuns. I also investigated the incidence of cancer in monogamous couples (men and women both are monogamous) who refrained form anal intercourse. This approach gave me a sound baseline to assess the impact of trauma alone in women and men who suffered the trauma of anal intercourse with a statistical filter to exclude cancers caused by disease.
Since I am a device-aware medical developer, I thought I should look into remedies to the removal of the anus as a treatment to anal cancer. I was aware of the artificial anus invented in 1990. I looked into the state of the art of prosthetic anal sphincters.
Results: Rough sex, normal or sodomy, (trauma) does not cause cancer without HPV, but promiscuity (multiple partners) increases risk via higher HPV exposure. So stop having sex out of wedlock. Sex out of wedlock will result in increased risk of cancer.

Young Men seeking Chaste Young Women
In my recent dealings with young men in my community I have repeatedly encountered the expressed complaint from these young men that they seek a good young woman to be the sole object of their affections and possibly their wives. These men are in that age category. Where does a young man, willing to sacrifice his life for a woman, find that women who is to be beguiled? At a bar? On a hook-up site. A dating app? I don't know any so I won't try to be informed, but my younger male friends tell me what is available. Essentally the world is profane and sexual encounters seem to be the norm on first dates. This reality is what is discouraging young men. In this age women have thrown their bodies away and their morals are guided by dark meaningless anti-intimacy. These women have made their bodies the currency of their attension seeking self centered hollow lives.
What young man wants a self-loathing garbage can for a wife and mother of his children. I don't know one man who does. Celibate Godly men are lonely in a world of self- loathing young girls. Where are the fathers? I think you know. Many are part of the problem.
What is the remedy? I only just discovered this reality and I do not have an answer for these young men except... fathers! Assert yourselves and protect the dignity of your daughters. Regardless of how terrible they treat you. We all know the drill. We men will be called abusers for alligning the behavior of our daughters.
I do not want to dwell on this subject. I will leave it at: sexual relations are reserved for the marriage bed for men and women. If this virtue is preserved then chaste men will find chaste women. The farm animals will find each other until their hells consume them.

Novel Treatment approach to Tinnitus exploiting Neuroplasticity
I know of the mirror box treatment for phantom limb pain. I thought that if the brain is generating the tinnitus effect in the auditory cortex then maybe the brain can be tricked into turning it off. Just like the brain is tricked into turning off the phantom limb pain using the mirror box. I came across a paper circa 2022 by Clas Linnman, Harvard trying one way of dealing with the neuroplastic approach. It puzzles me a bit because I had a different plan. Educating young men to be dangerous!
I spend a great deal of time indulging the desire of young men to express their desire to be formidable. I speak with them and encourage VERY ROUGH play. Play that may cause bruising. Even blisters and blood. Why. Because boys need it. They need it to align themselves with each other to learn respect for each other's ability to endure pain and suffering. It bonds them. It doesn't separate them. Think about that.
Meekness is having a sword, being able to use it, and possessing the judgement to keep it in its sheath. Learn to throw a punch AND to take a punch. Then learn not need to throw that punch, and suffer the injury of your adversary NOT throwing a punch at you, but you still feel the pain of it as if he did. THAT is masculinity. Formidability is in the mind and heart, not the muscles, but the muscles train the mind.

I ask: why do you make me see wrongs and look upon trouble?
You say: Follow the pattern of the sound words which you have heard...which are in Christ Jesus.
As such... I then say: I am a faithful servant and have only done what was my duty.
I get many emails from friends that fall into the category "Look at this atrocity or injustice." The people who send them are correct. They are atrocities and injustices. I try to see the injustices for what they are: acts of evil that are propagated to sow agitation and division designed to erode trust in the love of God.
So take up each scandal, every insult, every test and put it at the foot of the cross and, consistent with your duty, beg God's help for the insight to guide your actions properly. Then act and be that faithful servant. Fail if you must, but act. We brothers in Christ, revel at heroic failure, since we all fail. Fail often, while trying to do good.

I spoke to a friend recently. Though not a practising Catholic or Christian, he was quoting to me the essential imperishability and durability of the act of martyrdom. Further, he expressed the value of adopting that eventuality when dealing with evil. Evil witnessed the impact of the blood offering by Christ and trembles at making another martyr. So, adopt such a position when confronting evil. Evil loses every time.

This is an effort that Nick sent me in response to the above ad hoc list. It is an interesting work prepared by A. J. Barker. Vices X Virtues: The Seven Deadly Sins of Thomas Aquinas I have not gone through all of it but generally it looks like a novel mapping which tweaked my interest.
